Childs Elementary School
PTO Mission Statement
To work cooperatively with the school's professional staff, to assist and support the activities and needs of our school.
Help the School
Fundraising is an area where each family can help. The following are some of the ways that we raise funds for our school.
- Carnival & Silent Auction - This is our biggest fundraiser. Each class is assigned an activity/game. Held in May.
- Market Day - Selected food items are offered for sale by catalog monthly. Pick-up from 5:00-6:00pm in the school cafeteria usually the first Monday of the following month. Childs School uses Market Day profits to raise funds for technology.
- Box Tops for Education - Clip and save the box top from General Mills products marked "Boxtops for Education". The drop off box is located in front of the school office.
- Marsh grocery - Designate Childs School to receive the cash back from Marsh.
- Target - Designate Childs School to receive the cash back from Target.

This is an easy, short-term task that begins with a kick-off meeting in February, but is confined to organizing the activity details during April.
- Help with the staff appreciation dinner in the Fall.
- Help with the Spring faculty and staff appreciation luncheon.
- Volunteer to help with Market Day and the Carnival.
- Volunteer to work in the library or a classroom.
- Miscellaneous administration.
