The library catalog is called Safari. To find Safari on any computer in the school:
- Click on "Start" at the bottom left-hand side of the screen.
- Go to "Programs."
- Go to "Custom Building Applications."
- Select "Library Catalog."
Now you should be looking at Safari. The main screen looks like this:

In Safari, you can search for books by title, author, or topic. Safari also lets
you write reviews for books, like amazon.com. This is how you do it:
1. First you need to find the book you would like to review. Let's use the book
"The True Confessions of Charlotte Doyle."
2. Type the title (or author, if you don't know the title) into the "Search For"
box and click "Search."

3. You will get a search results screen that looks like this. Find the book you are
looking for, and click on the title. In this case, the first title on the screen is what
we're looking for.

4. After you click on the title, you will see a new page. This page gives you more
information on the book such as the number of pages it has and the number of copies
available. It looks like this:

5. Scroll all the way to the bottom of this page. At the very end, you will see a
link that says "Click here to write your own review of this title." Click on that link.

6. Now you're on the review page. Type in your name, and choose the number of
stars you would like to give the book.

7. Next, put your review in the box (either type it or copy and paste it from another
document). Then choose the categories that match the book. When you're done, click on
"Submit Review."

8. Your review has now been submitted. It will not automatically appear on Safari.
Ms. Williams looks at all reviews before they can be published. Check Safari again
soon to read your review!
