April Sayre will visit Childs Elementary on March 28 in the afternoon.

Ms. Sayre is an award-winning author of natural history books for children and adults. "She is best known for pioneering literary ways to immerse young readers in natural events via creative storytelling and unusual perspectives."

She has lived in many places, including Indiana! Her non-fiction writing is influenced by her surroundings. "Most of our knowledge of plants and animals has been developed here in the forests, wetlands, tallgrass prairies, and dunes of Indiana and Michigan."
