Students in Grade 4 discussed the subject matter to be used in the mural. Trees and plants, animals, the creek, and human activities (students and adults) in the environment are our subjects. Since the subject matter is affected by weather and season, drawings will show these as well. Students were asked to select a subject and generate a list of types of weather, animal, etc. After creating the list, students chose one to illustrate for a tile. These ideas will be used as examples for the upper grades ( 5 & 6) in designing the their molds.
