Radial symmetry is balance in the round. Examples of snowflakes were studied before we started this cut paper lesson. Students had three sample snowflakes made for cutting. This practice allowed them to understand where to cut and fold to create their own products. Origami paper was used for the cutting project. Finished work was glued to construction paper.
