This is a study of size and area using the largest possible circles within a space. Students start with a shape and place three large circles within the space (touching eachother and the edges of the first shape). After the circles are placed the following rule is followed: Fill the spaces left with the largest possible circle you can fit. Following this rule, the circles and spaces become smaller until they disappear. This can be done with other shapes as well.
