Students were asked to design a windchime. They could choose from a subject area of personal interest. Students used sports, nature, hobbies, shapes, etc. from which to base their ideas. A pattern was drawn and cut prior to the slab work. Students used the patterns to cut around (when placed on the slab of clay). Greenware was fired and then painted with acrylic paint. Balance and weight were to be considered when stringing the chimes.
