This was a two part lesson, covering techniques of pinch pots, assemblage, coil, and slab methods. The idea of a scissor bird was based on lessons of drawings using traced scissors for the head of the bird. Lesson one covered the assembly of the body, lesson two the head. After the birds were fired to bisque, they were painted with tempera.
