Sixth Grade made ceramic scissor birds. Each piece was made in two parts. The head was made with slab work (traced scissors) and attached to a coil of clay for the neck. Eyes, lips, and other details were added by scoring the clay and adding with slip. Bodies were made of two pinch pots, scored and slipped. Details again added with above mentioned technique. Bisque was painted with tempera.
