Still Life

Childs Elementary School - Grade 4

Each year, students in all grades do a still life. The grade level determines the emphasis of the lesson. Shapes, space and placement are important parts of the picture. Texture, proportion, dimensionality, and color are other aspects of the drawing that need attention. Each year students improve. The still life changes from year to year. Skills increase at each grade level.

Grade 4 students added color with watercolor. Emphasis was on technique and color mixing.
