Fish - Grade 4 Students were to create a wide-mouth fish using a combination of slab and construction method in clay. They learn to build the fish from a slab. Then using slip (a clay and water mixture like glue) and scoring technique they add fins, eyes, and other decorations. After the lay is fired in the kiln, students paint the fish. They looked at samples of Oaxacan art before they designed their own fish.
