Taj Mahal

Childs Elementary School - Grade 6


This was a lesson in one point perspective, mirror images, and watercolor washes.  After an introductory lesson in one point perspective, students in Grade 6 drew the Taj Mahal from a poster.  Since the architecture is symmetric, students learned how to create a mirror image using a tracing technique.  Watercolor washes were applied prior to finishing off the piece in black fine line marker.
