Childs Elementary School - Grade 5
Students created a radial design by first making a tracer shaped like a piece of pie. The pie shape was folded in half to create symmetric balance, then duplicated to produce the radial design. color was applied to emphasize the balance. This lesson took three class periods to complete. Bicycle wheels, tires, and many stained glass windows show radial balance.
